Maldivian credits Nilaa Coral Island tie-up as King Air 360 joins its fleet

Maldivian's fleet now includes a Beechcraft King Air 360, the first of its kind to join the airline, which presents the step as part of a continuing effort to lift standards in aviation and luxury travel in the Maldives. The airline, operated by Island Aviation Services, announced the addition on social media on 2 November 2026.

A second post attributed the aircraft's arrival to Maldivian's partnership with Nilaa Coral Island.

In its initial announcement, the airline called the King Air 360 the newest aircraft in its fleet and a considerable addition to its expanding aviation capability, pointing to the type's advanced technology, performance and refined cabin.

What the type offers

Textron Aviation, which builds the twin-turboprop business aircraft, publishes the following specifications:

  • Capacity for up to 11 occupants
  • Cabin length of 5.94 m, width of 1.37 m and height of 1.45 m
  • Cruise speed of up to 578 km/h (312 knots true airspeed)
  • Range of up to 3,345 km (1,806 nautical miles)
  • Operating ceiling of 35,000 ft

These numbers describe the King Air 360 in general. Maldivian's posts gave no detail of the seat count or cabin configuration of the aircraft it has acquired.
