Guests at ananea Madivaru Maldives between 7 and 14 November 2026 have the chance to play padel with a WTA doubles titleholder. Cornelia Lister, an international padel player who captains the Swedish National Junior Padel Team, is spending those dates at the North Ari Atoll resort, where she is leading two padel afternoons, the resort says.
The sessions
The sessions cost nothing but are restricted to in-house guests. They will be run in small groups, which the resort says are designed to help players improve and to offer some friendly competition.
Tennis credentials
Lister's tennis career has taken her to the US Open, Wimbledon, the French Open and the Australian Open. She has won a WTA doubles title, and her best world doubles ranking is No. 72.
Why the resort invited her
The resort's General Manager, Pierre Edlund, said he had worked with Lister previously and had seen for himself how energetic and passionate she is, on court and off. He called her enthusiasm contagious and said that inviting her was an obvious choice, adding that her personality would lend guests' stays a touch of sporting glamour, fun and memorable moments.
The resort
The twin-island property, which opened in July 2025, has 111 villas, with padel and pickleball courts among its facilities.
