Dhiraagu offers young Maldivians two years of paid training and mentoring
Maldivians between 18 and 30 can apply for Dhiraagu's 2027 Apprenticeship Programme, a two-year paid scheme pairing structured training with one-to-one mentoring, the telecom operator says.
For young Maldivians without full-time work, Dhiraagu's 2027 Apprenticeship Programme offers two years of paid training, one-to-one mentoring and, for the strongest performers, the possibility of a job at the company. The telecom operator is now taking applications.
The scheme is built so that apprentices draw an income while acquiring skills.
What the two years involve
According to the company, apprentices will combine workshops, courses and other structured training with hands-on work beside experienced employees. Each is assigned an individual mentor from within Dhiraagu.
The skills Dhiraagu aims to build are customer service, communication, occupational health and safety, planning and organisation, and problem-solving and decision-making.
Certificates and jobs
Completing both years earns an official certificate of completion, while those who depart at the end of the first year receive a certificate covering it. High-performing apprentices may be offered positions at Dhiraagu, depending on how they perform and on the company's requirements.
Who may apply
- Maldivian citizens
- Aged between 18 and 30
- Holding A'level qualifications or higher
- Not currently employed full-time
